Alison Hamlin to participate in Armenian identity panel in Boston

Alison Hamlin, a 2014 volunteer from Massachusetts, will be participating in a panel discussion on Armenian identity, titled “Exploring Identities in the Armenian Diaspora: A Panel Discussion with Members of the Emerging Generation”, this December, in Boston.  The event is organized and sponsored by The National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR), Northeastern University Armenian Students Association, MIT Armenian Society (MITAS), and AGBU-YP Boston.  Peter J. Koutoujian, Middlesex County Sheriff, will be moderating the discussion in order to explore the idea of Armenian identity with the help of Diasporan Armenian’s coming from various backgrounds and experiences.

Alison, coming from a unique experience of rediscovering her identity through Birthright Armenia, will be providing her take on Armenian identity and how experiencing Armenia helped shape her understanding and perceptions of it. Click here to read articles written by Alison.
