I have many emotions and they are all mixed. I traveled before, visited other countries, and almost always I wanted to come back again, but with Armenia, it's a completely different feeling. I understand that each of my visits will be like coming back home and not just a visit to a tourist destination. I can certainly say that now I have friends and a real family here.
If they ask me what is the most valuable thing in Armenia, I will definitely answer — people. The Armenian diaspora is something incredible. The number of Armenians around the world is 10 million, while the population of Armenia itself barely reaches 3 million. Can you imagine?
You will never truly understand Armenia until you get to know its diaspora — get to know them, hear the stories of how their families ended up in Argentina, Australia, Syria, Belgium, etc. We are very different, but at the same time very similar. It looks like a puzzle, we only know how Armenians live in our country, what they are, what dialect they speak, and what dances they dance, but this is just a small part of a huge and beautiful picture. Only when we turn our eyes to other diasporas, to the Armenians of the world, this puzzle comes together and you see the real Armenia, its history, and culture.
I love this Great Armenia and its descendants very much, which, unfortunately, are now scattered all over the world. We are alive! After all. And it's such an incredible victory...
