Let's Go, Let's Play. Explore Gyumri with our Alumni

Mary Anazonianand Alin Demirdjian are enthusiastic Armenians from Argentina who volunteered with Birthright in 2015 and 2012 respectively. A few years ago, they both decided to repatriate and stay to live in the city of Gyumri. Mary and Alin are two enthusiastic women. They worked together on One Province, One Song project in Armenia and Artsakh, and now want to continue creating and developing new and unique projects in Armenia because, as they mention, “ we believe that our country has a lot of potential. This new game reminds us of the family games organized by Armenian schools and clubs in Buenos Aires when we were children. With that same spirit, we wish to develop it in our motherland!”

What is it about?

Let's Go, Let's Play (LGLP) is a game through which visitors can discover and explore the beautiful city of Gyumri. The main objective of the game is to allow the participants have fun with their teammates (friends, family, coworkers) and to learn about the city through a unique perspective The participants compete against other teams within a given period of time, walking around the city while completing challenges to earn points. All challenges reflect the history, culture and the local lifestyle of Gyumri.

What are the main goals of the game?

Promote tourism in Gyumri.
Have fun!
Help with teambuilding.
Challenge yourselves
Interact with locals

This project is a very fun, unique and entertaining way to get to know the city of Gyumri for locals and non-locals, and it is an excellent option to promote team building within companies. LGLP is a project that we want to carry out in different cities of Armenia in the near future. Also, we are fortunate to have the support of young volunteers from Birthright Armenia who are very engaged with this new project. They are Armenians from different parts of the world who bring a broad and fresh vision to LGLP.

Birthright Armenia and Armenian Volunteer Corps staff, volunteers, and alums have already participated in the game, and we can't wait to do it again! Don't forget to add Let's Go, Let's Play to your schedule next time when you visit Gyumri.
