New Partners, New Volunteering Opportunities

3 min read

Whether you are looking for social volunteering or competitive internship opportunities in Armenia, Birthright Armenia is here to put you in touch with local organizations. We have had volunteers working in all fields that you can think of (yes, we dare to say it!), ranging from Science to Teaching, from Arts to Sports, from History to Environment, and more. However, striving to provide a customized volunteer placement to every new volunteer, we are all ears when they voice their interests and hobbies. Below are some examples of newly recruited partner organizations where we have already placed current volunteers to practice their skills and bring in their international expertise.

Passionate about IT? Find an IT internship through Birthright

Armat Technologies, an Armenian company, provides support services to international Fintech partners in France, Cyprus, and Kazakhstan. Our volunteers help conduct research and keep up communications with foreign clients to identify investment opportunities. For them, the skills that Breno, our volunteer from Brazil, brought in are simply precious. As a native Portuguese speaker, Breno helps the company go global and establish new connections across the globe.

Oh, we talked about going global. How can we not mention the contributions our volunteers make to local startups? Hero House, an innovation hub based in Yerevan, strives to build a creative environment to encourage and motivate those who first launched their own startups.

Gain experience in Research

We also work with local research centers and think tanks to provide our program participants an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in this field. More importantly, these types of collaborations allow our volunteers to bring and devote their ideas and expertise to their homeland by producing high-quality research. Our new partner, Genesis Armenia, which aims to consolidate the pan-Armenian intellectual capital has already hosted two volunteers—Galina, a 30-year-old volunteer specialized in Public Policy, and Mary, a current student at the University of Harvard.

Volunteer in the field of Sports

Enjoy playing tennis? Our volunteer Emily Minassian from the US does too! She has been playing tennis for so many years now and is currently coaching tennis to local children as a part of her volunteering. Emily is our first volunteer to partner up with Incourt Tennis club located in Yerevan. Her volunteering is going great—interactions with local children, playing favorite sports every day, contributing her skills to Armenia; that’s how we would describe Emily’s experience so far.

With over one thousand partners in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Dilijan, and other Armenian cities and villages, we are constantly looking for ways to expand our network for even more innovative and diverse offers to make to our program participants. Now, it’s your turn. Hurry to join our year-round program for a new journey, new network, and a life-changing experience in your life.
